Devlog #6 - First Playtest Release!

Hello everyone!

The first free HavenCraft Playtest is finally out! Try it out now!

How to Download

If you are signed up for the playtest via email, you should already have gotten a download link. If you haven’t, check your spam folder.

If you are not signed up to the playtest yet, you can do so here.

Let us know if you have any issues downloading or running the playtest version!

What to Expect from the Playtest Version?

HavenCraft is still in development, so some features may work well and nicely, while some others still need some work.

Stuff that is not finished yet:

• You can play in multiplayer, but the clients that join your game can’t do everything yet. Stuff like village management or the in-game map is not fully synchronized yet.
• Some interfaces may be a little rough around the edges.
• You may encounter bugs.
• Not all settings are there yet, like mouse sensitivity or custom keybindings.
• Of course, a bunch of content is yet to come :)

Let us know about any difficulties you have, so we know what to prioritize and what works fine!

We already have a good save and autosave system, which means:

• Autosaves should not lag your game; they should work in the background.
• If you do encounter a bug, you should never lose a big chunk of your work.
• We will already try to keep your saves compatible with future versions.

I am a Content Creator, Can I already Make Videos about this?

Some people have asked me about this, so here is the answer for everyone: Sure!

Just mention that it’s an early development version and that people can try it out for free themselves, thanks!

What Will Happen after the Playtest?

The playtest is not time-limited, so you can keep playing for as long as you want. We will probably release a couple of bugfix updates for issues that are discovered during the playtest.
